Lovely guests that make it all worthwhile by Nina Basset
Despite my best intentions I haven’t had a moment to catch up on the addictive “Three in a Bed” TV series, but I am looking forward to having a date with my I-player sometime soon, although the coming week looks as though it is going to be equally as hectic as this past one, with some important diary dates, awaiting impending decisions which will help shape our future plans for TerraVina and staff recruitment for an assistant managers position, as we have been let down at the last moment by a newly appointed team member, who is now not joining us….. the usual challenges of running a small hotel.
Thanks goodness at such times for two elements which help to keep us on a positive and even keel- our fantastic TerraVina team, headed by Suzi, who to borrow a term widely used by others is “our rock” and without her we could not run TerraVina and our fantastically supportive guests, some of whom return more than a couple of times each month both to stay and to dine and who make being a hotelier all the more worthwhile. Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm, encouragement and support, it is hugely appreciated and we feel very privileged to have such lovely guests who so enjoy TerraVina and appreciate all the teams hard work and efforts.
I am determined to watch the “Three in the Bed” episodes I have missed as the world of hotels and hospitality still fascinates me even after all these years and I am sure such market research will be very useful when I eventually manage to put pen to paper and write my long promised book about the business- move over Gerard it’s my turn to use the dining room as an office and commandeer the table!
